The last and final Grand Prix Of Tripoli was held in 1940, after WWII broke out things would never be the same. Racing began in what is now the Capital of Libya in 1925. A lottery prize of 3M lire for first, 2M for second and 1 M for third was paid out based upon having the winning entrance ticket and upon the finishing positions. There was controversy surrounding the finishing results with some complaining that the results were fixed which doesn’t seem to be true. Please see photos for condition details. A very rare and very collectible piece of automotive racing history.
